Kauai Made

Design idea I made once as a submission for a "Kauai Made" logo bid. Yes, it was speculative work...something I'm dead set against but my employer made me do it. Do what I'm told right? I liked the end result here despite the fact I remember fighting tooth & nails over the color choices, but who knows why we weren't ultimately chosen. The actual logo now isn't much better then this actually...in fact, I suspect they might have seen this and taken some of the ideas.
